Evaluation

As primary research, I asked my class mates about which movie I should re-enact. The movie they recommended was Jigsaw as this scene stood out from the others. The scene was full of action and was interesting to make.

Doing research on internet, it showed up when I typed 'movie clips' into YouTube and was in the top 10. It is a very popular movie and came out in 2017 and made 103 million USD in the US box office and budget was 10 million USD. The director was Michael Spierig, Peter Spierig. It is from a Series of Saw movies and there are 9.

I then did planning of how to re-create the film, I planned what props I needed and the scripts so people know what to say. The props were a cardboard box as the bucket on the head and chains that was used in the actual film scene. I also planned which is the best location to film in the college.

I filmed the scenes in a room with dark walls as that reflects on the darkness of the actual scene. I directed the scene on the DSLR camera and my class mates was acting out the scene. Once I filmed all the scenes, I removed the SD card from the camera and uploaded them onto the Mac. I copied these files onto my external SSD drive. I organised them in a folder and called it “Footage” and also renamed the video clips to what scene it is to make it easier to edit.

We also recorded voiceovers on a microphone and my class mate did the VoiceOver and I uploaded them onto the computers and put them on my external SSD.
I then loaded all the footage into Adobe Premiere Pro, including all the videos and the VoiceOver and began editing.
