The outcome of my final video was fit for my purpose as it represents the college and the client’s requirements for the video such as the on-screen graphics. The client also gave me positive feedback and liked my on-screen graphics and the timelapse clips. The client has also asked if I can have clips shot from inside the college and since the feedback I then filmed from inside the college.

What I have done well is the on-screen graphics and the timelapse clips and meeting the client’s criteria of including their branding in my video. I filmed in the right conditions and filmed at the right time when students have their break and walk out and to the college. I also got the right compositions. I also edited the clips well including the branding of the college. I showed the diversity of the college within my film.

 

What I didn’t do well is that I took a long time in planning what I wanted to film and I filmed a lot of things last minute and whilst editing, I realise what I haven’t filmed and I always needed to film some extras. I spent a lot of time on my primary research on filming the traffic in different conditions. What I also should have filmed is different facilities of the college such as the gym and the canteen.

 

Another thing I could have done differently is to have stuck to the time schedules of when I needed to do primary research and planned everything I needed to film in one day. This is so I would have everything I needed to edit the video without needing to film any extras.
